Recently the East Gippsland Hockey Association held its first umpire development session with Hockey Victoria Regional Umpire Zone Developer, Aisha Alim well received at the Gippsland Regional Sports Complex in Sale.
In a fantastic night for local hockey, the hands-on activities, discussions, video reviews and practical skill development will benefit local hockey in the short and long term.
Participation was limited in person however many people were able to join in online.
The association is pleased to announce its first coaching mentoring session with Regional Coach Zone developer Peter Scott on Wednesday, May 21 at the Gippsland Regional Sporting Complex from 6-8pm.
Scott is a senior international player, represented England in the FIH Pro League, and he also won gold with HCM in the 2024 Hockey One League.
With more than a decade of coaching experience across all levels and ages, from junior club players to high performance teams, he is well qualified to work
with coaches in the East Gippsland region.
He is currently coaching the MCC Women’s first team and Victoria under 21 men.
The session will include an interactive session and some on the pitch elements and is open to all members, whether you are a junior coach, veteran coach, former coach or maybe a future coach interested in giving it a go (parent or player).
This is an incredible opportunity to learn from someone with such impressive experience.
