Lakes Entrance will chase ultimate glory in Golf East Gippsland Men’s Pennant finals this Sunday at the South Pines Golf Club.
Lakes will do battle with defending champion, Sale who are unbeaten in this campaign, Lakes sneaking in ahead of Bairnsdale on contests won after they were locked on three wins apiece at season’s end.
Sale will be hoping to emulate the 3-2 win they scored over Lakes Entrance in round four when the two sides did battle.
The unbeaten Bairnsdale will start favourites in division two, going head-to-head with host South Pines, whose only loss for the season was when the two teams clashed in round two (4-1).
They will be hoping home course advantage is worth something.
Division three east sees two Bairnsdale sides playing off the title, minor premier Bairnsdale 2 and the challenger, Bairnsdale 1, while in the west conference Maffra will do battle with Toongabbie.
Division two and three east hit off from 9am, with division one and three west proceeding at 9.30am.
Division three is contested as handicap matchplay, so therefore they afforded the first.
South Pines Golf Club has a driving range available to all players at no charge but players are reminded that they have to provide their own golf balls.
