After a few of the challenges experienced in the past few years (drought, the Black Summer Bushfires, COVID-19, and floods to name a few) the vibrant heart of Bruthen is set to beat louder and prouder than ever with the long awaited return of Bruthen’s Got Talent.
The beloved community event, which once drew crowds from across the region, will be held on Saturday, June 14, from 11am at the Bruthen Hall.
The Bruthen Arts and Events Council volunteers are thrilled to invite everyone back to this inclusive, supportive showcase of the amazing talents of Bruthen and surrounding areas.
Bruthen’s Got Talent has always stood out for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and 2025 is no different.
This year’s event places a special focus on supporting young people and inexperienced performers, giving them a safe, positive environment to build confidence, express their creativity and connect with the community.
If you attended this event in the past, you may remember home-grown MC, Ms Ropplebottom – she is excited about being back on stage to keep the event flowing smoothly, support the performers, hit the sound engineer with her handbag when things go wrong, and try not to fall asleep.
This is a fun event that encapsulates the renowned Bruthen creative spirit.
Participants of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to step on stage and “strut their stuff” – whether it’s singing, dancing, reciting poetry, or playing an instrument.
Age categories ensure that everyone is celebrated, with fabulous trophies and prizes.
There’s more than just talent on show — attendees can enjoy a free barbecue, lively entertainment and a true sense of Bruthen’s creative spirit.
Entry is by gold coin donation and performers can register at the Bruthen Arts and Events Council website.
Registrations close Friday, June 6.
