The Gippsland Bowls Region Men’s and Women’s Players of the Year awards were announced last Sunday at the conclusion of
the annual general meeting at the Maffra Bowling Club wth a double for Lakes Entrance.
This year’s winners were Lakes Entrance bowler Joanne Martin and Orbost/Lakes Entrance’s Bradley Lancaster receiving the accolade after achieving excellent results in state and other events during the season.
It was the second time Lancaster has won the award in its four-year history, while Martin has now put together three on the trot.
In addition they received perpetual trophies as winners of the men’s
and women’s Champion of Champions events.
Gippsland Bowls Region president Jan Morton also presented commemorative plaques to representatives of clubs which won pennant premierships in 2024/25, both weekend
and midweek.
