Brett Stokes and Melesia Johnson have won their second consecutive Lakes Entrance Golf Club foursomes board event, proving too good form a quality field last Sunday. (PS)

On a stunning day for golf, the Lakes Entrance Golf Club foursomes board event was played in perfect conditions last Sunday.

Numerous impressive scores were posted and for the second consecutive year the unstoppable duo of Melesia Johnson and Brett Stokes emerged victorious.

Club president David Smythe was high in praise for the efforts of the staff and volunteers who continue to contribute to making the experience at Lakes Entrance so enjoyable for members and visitors.

In other matches last week, Michelle Kirk led the field home on Tuesday in Young and the Rest of Us, while Peter Nicholas put his best foot forward to win the “A” grade event at Ruthless and Toothless.

Bill Daniel was a narrow winner in “B” grade, much too his delight.

Wednesday’s ladies monthly medal event was dominated by Sue Wilson, who posted an impressive 70 nett to take the medal.

Hayley Cotton winning “A” grade with 74 nett.

Stuart Yates, playing off a handicap of one, has been striking the ball sweetly, winning the Thursday event with 37 stableford points.

Young Connor Guillot continues to knock shots off his handicap, victorious in “B”

grade with Ronny Brymer back in form winning “C” grade.

Saturday’s medley stableford saw only 53 players sign up, Yates taking “A” grade and the event with 38 points, Peter Courtney “B” grade and Adrian Parry “C” grade.
