Lakes Entrance broke through for its first win of the season in East Gippsland Football Netball League reserves football, smoking Paynesville by 158 points at AJ Freeman Reserve.
For the second straight week the Gulls went goalless as the Seagulls piled on seven goals in the first term to get the ball rolling.
Proven goalkicker Noah Bottom had a day out kicking 13 in a best-on-ground performance, while James Daly found his way forward and threaded three.
It was certainly the club’s best side in the reserves side for the season, though the opposition is a side where improved form can’t be measured against.
Best players for the Seagulls were Bottom, Scott Latta, James Daly, William Addison, Jesse Gillam and Michael Sowden, the senior players leading from the front in a great morale booster for the side.
Lakes Entrance will host Stratford at the Lakeside Oval this week, in a much tougher assignment.
