A field of 40 participants were out and about on the esplanade early in Lakes Entrance last Saturday morning for the weekly parkrun, walking, jogging and running the picturesque five-kilometre course in brilliant conditions.
It was great to see the event attract 10 first-time participants, one of whom, Andrew Hough led the field home in 19 minutes
and 42 seconds.
Six personal best times were achieved, including by the first woman over the line, Zoe Griffin (22.15)
Robyn Harcourt (27.49), Bec Voss (27.57), Brie Leigh (28.49), Jenny Wagstaff (35.50) and Robert Troup (41) also achieved personal best times.
Running clubs represented included Lakes and District Runners, Australia Post Group and Sale and District Runners.
The Lakes Entrance parkrun began on February 3, 2018, and departs from the rotunda each Saturday morning at 8am, with a briefing is at 7.50am.
