Off the back of the Bairnsdale Bullets men’s team returning to the Country Basketball League in 2024, the committee of the Bairnsdale and District Amateur Basketball Association is keen to get a women’s side up and running in 2025.
The association, under the guidance of president Daniel Taylor, is currently calling for expressions of interest from people who want to be involved with this exciting development.
Whether you’re a superstar player, a coach with winning strategies, a stat-keeping ace, a great organiser, or someone who just loves being part of the action, they want you on their squad. The season will run through October, November and December, with games played at Bairnsdale and a variety of places across Gippsland.
The association envisages try outs around July, with weekly training sessions from around August to sharpen skills in readiness for the season proper.
