After 38 years of dedicated service to East Gippsland, Beyond Beds, a family-owned business, is closing its doors.
Originally part of Country Pedlar Furniture, which was established in 1936, Beyond Beds has been a trusted name in quality furniture and bedding for generations.
Located on the Lakes Entrance side of town, just past Patties Bakery, the business was built as part of a five-shop factory complex developed by the Linklater and Cuthbert families.
Over the years, this site has
been home to many well-known local businesses.
Country Pedlar itself was founded by Rick and Lilla Linklater, who provided furniture and bedding along with friendly service to their loyal customers.
In 2018, Rick and Lilla retired, passing the reins to Brock and Caroline, who continued the tradition of excellent service under the Beyond Beds name.
However, due to changing times and economic challenges, the difficult decision has been made to close the business.
While it’s the end of an era, there’s a silver lining for customers.
