THUMBS DOWN: To the idea that our town needs advertising plastered on the water tower. Find a way to put the town on the map. More tacky advertising is simply uninspiring and not worth a second look. Editor’s note: The image and caption placed on page two of last week’s Bairnsdale Advertiser was an April Fool’s joke. There will be no advertising on the water tower.
THUMBS UP: Great to see the improvement in traffic flow at the McEacheran Street intersection this week. It’s been a hard slog for the past couple of months, but there is light at the end of the tunnel which should see great improvement to the road network.
THUMBS UP: To the ground staff at Bairnsdale City Oval. The oval was in immaculate condition for round one of football season last Saturday, making for a great spectacle. A shame the Redlegs couldn’t get over the line.
