Autumn is a great time of year to get out and about and explore the beauty that is Lakes Entrance and its surrounds, and Lakes Entrance U3A Photography Group and U3A Birdwatchers are no exception.
The photography group meets every Friday and is a happy bunch of enthusiasts who enjoy learning from each other, showing their photographs and sharing constructive feedback.
At the end of the year the group puts together a calendar showcasing a variety of photographs taken throughout the year which is available to purchase through U3A – a great gift for friends and relatives.
The Birdwatchers meet on the first Thursday of the month and explore different areas led by Sue Grima who shares her abundant knowledge of local birds.
Recently the group set off on the walking track that leads from Lochard Terrace down the hill. The highlights were a good viewing of the Rufous Whistler and the Eastern Whipbird although many other species were seen and heard.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast or just love where you live, perhaps consider joining U3A and one of these fun groups.
