Last Saturday saw the playing of the men’s and ladies monthly medals at the Lakes Entrance Golf Club.
The women’s event attracted a field of 13, with the medal won by Jenny Kesper with 76 net, she finished ahead of Marlene Holmes, Ruth McPhee and Sherrin Elliott who all had scores of 79 net.
In the men’s, Shane Sproule, playing off a handicap of 10, posted an impressive score of 66 net, to defeat 80 other player.
In “B” grade, Russell Webb emerged victorious with 68 net, with veteran Ivan Witham the winner of “C” grade with 69 net.
In other golf this week, Tuesday’s Young and the Rest of Us was won by Judith Collins, while at Ruthless and Toothless, Westy Stephens was successful in “A” grade and John Melrose in “B” grade.
Wednesday’s medley stroke event saw 30 players out on the course, with Marg Ellis the winner with an solid 75 net.
In Thursday’s 4BBB stableford, 82 players teed up, with Terry Williams and Garry O’Neill coming out on top with 46 points, tipping John Timmerman and Leigh Przibilla by a shot.
