A record number of golfers attended last Friday’s Diamond Point Golf Classic held at the Metung Country Club.
Staged for the 18th consecutive year under ideal golfing conditions, a field of 52 golfers took to the course and were later joined by a further 20 guests for lunch and presentation of trophies with all proceeds for day donated to Legacy.
The winning team was Sam Tindley-Roe, Rod Cross, Rod Edwards and Robert Oldham.
Nearest the pin winners were Jeanne Roe and John Bull, while the longest drive winners were Alison Van Den Dungen and Will Strange.
The club is already planning for next year’s classic.
