Last Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun, the 287th edition of the Saturday institution, saw 28 people run, jog and walk the course, of whom four were first timers and another four recorded new personal bests.
The event was led home by local Tully Davis in a good time of 18 minutes and six seconds, finishing ahead of Andrew Crawford (18.09) and Ashly Knur (22.16), both of whom ran impressive personal bests.
The first women home was Megan Catlin in 29 minutes and 19 seconds, while other personal bests were achieved by Michelle Hannah (39.58) and Glenn Reggardo (40.55).
Running groups represented in event were Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, Everlasting Fitness Group and Australia Post Group.
Lakes Entrance parkrun started on February 3, 2018, since then 3365 participants have completed 13,076 parkruns covering a total distance of 65,380 km, including 1659 new personal bests.
The event takes place at Lakes Entrance Rotunda, Memorial Park from 8am every Saturday morning.
